When the owners of YUMA HTX made the exciting transition from hosting popular Houston pop-up events to opening their first permanent restaurant along the Washington Avenue corridor, they encountered an important hurdle before opening their doors—meeting the City of Houston’s electrical requirements to obtain an Occupancy Permit.
Following the City’s inspection, several electrical deficiencies were identified that required prompt correction before the restaurant could receive approval to operate. The owners needed an experienced electrical contractor who could quickly assess the deficiencies, coordinate with CenterPoint Energy, and complete all required work while maintaining code compliance.
DM Electrical & Construction was hired by the YUMA HTX ownership team to perform the electrical upgrades necessary to satisfy the City of Houston’s occupancy inspection requirements and prepare the facility for final approval.
Our team completed a comprehensive scope of work that included:
By relocating the electrical service equipment, our team also eliminated the need for additional mast guy-wire support while maintaining compliance with CenterPoint Energy’s service standards.
Through responsive service and attention to detail, DM Electrical helped position YUMA HTX for successful completion of the City’s occupancy process, allowing the owners to focus on launching their new restaurant with confidence.
Whether assisting entrepreneurs opening their first location or supporting established commercial property owners, DM Electrical specializes in bringing electrical systems into compliance with local codes, utility requirements, and safety standards.
