Electrical Helper

Location: Houston, TX

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing electrical systems.
  • Install lighting, electrical outlets, and circuit breakers.
  • Thread conduit ends and connect couplings and conduit fittings using wrench.
  • Secure brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pull wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals.
  • Use tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers.
  • Replace faulty circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire.
  • Replace old fuse boxes.
  • Hook up appliances for power.
  • Install lighting fixtures.
  • Repair motors, transformers, generators, and electronic controllers on machine tools and industrial robots.
  • Wire homes and businesses.

Electrical Apprentice

Location: Houston, TX

Primary Responsibilities

Seeking commercial and multi-residential electrical apprentices

  • Read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications to see layout of electrical equipment installations.
  • Test electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Install, repair, or replace AC/DC motors and drives, transformers, motors, starters, relays, and hydraulic and gas electrical controls.
  • Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic, and line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts.
  • Install, repair, or replace generators and industrial storage batteries.
  • Do preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution equipment)
  • Install electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protecting devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the NEC.
  • Work on electrical failures and replace components wherever production time is often affected.
  • Correct connections and wiring on equipment controls wherever incorrect applications may cause harm and dangerous conditions.
  • Conduct preventive and maintenance programs.
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate equipment and connected devices.
  • Comply with standards and procedures of industry, Safety Manual, and abide by safety rules.

Electrical Journeyman

Location: Houston, TX

Primary Responsibilities

Seeking commercial and multi-residential electrical journeymen

  • Conduct checks, perform reviews, and electrical connections.
  • Select the most appropriate course of action, given the project restrictions.
  • Write reports on electrical maintenance, including inspections, test results, final situation prognosis, and steps to solve problems for each job or situation.
  • Install and secure the performance of wires, plugs, panel boards, switchgear, switchboards, and similar.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all company rules and OSHA safety standards.
  • Commutes between job locations and responsible for standard tools and equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.
  • Participate in technical training.
  • Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements.
  • Maintain professional, respectful, and timely service.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
  • Vocational, training, or apprenticeship of an electrician’s program
  • Completion of a relevant apprenticeship
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Understanding of advanced principles of industrial, commercial, residential electrical systems
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with excellent leadership skills

Estimator

Location: Houston, TX

Objectives:

  • Bid new work with a win ratio of 15-25% OR higher
  • Proactively bring VE ideas to each estimate
  • 100% of projects to be profitable
  • Research, analyze and document the estimating process at DM Electrical to find ways to be more efficient and profitable
  • Continually seek industry and market information to provide DM Electrical with the information necessary for successful business development

Responsibilities:

  • Determine the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project.
  • Determine the amount of labor required to complete each project.
  • Determine the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
  • Provide viable solutions to increase project profitability.
  • Complete and submit competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Regularly update cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs in the Houston area.

Commercial/Residential Service Electrician

Location: Houston, TX

Primary Responsibilities

  • We are looking to expand our team of leaders and are seeking Commercial/Residential Service Electricians to join our team. Are you a team player, can you work independently, passionate about your work, and integrity driven? We want you to join us! 
  • As our Commercial/Residential Service Electrician, you will perform high-quality service assessments, repairs, and or replacements to our clients. 
  • Professional attitude and appearance. 
  • Clear and effective communication with clients, vendors, and administration.

  • Work safely at all times. 
  • Works well independently or with a team. 
  • Detailed oriented work. 
  • Ability to respond at multiple jobsites. 
  • Responds to work order promptly. 
  • Accurately assess, and diagnose cause of electrical problems, recommends options for repairs or replacements to clients compliant with DME process, as well as client process for recording assessments and work. Completing work timely after authorization. Ensure that all service assessments/repairs and installs are in alignment with procedures. 
  • Communicate with client about the zones of the location that maybe effected due to repairs ahead of time, while making assessments. Plan for safety procedures and business impact to minimize hazards to yourself, client, or the client’s customers. 
  • Carry out general electrical skills such as reading diagrams, blueprints, running conduit and wire, installing or replacing devices trouble shooting existing circuits, devices, equipment etc. 
  • Availability for some emergency/late night and or weekend service calls. 
  • Other duties are required.
 

Ideal Candidate would meet these qualifications:

  • Valid TDLR JE License 
  • OSHA 30 card carrying 
  • Five years electrical construction safety experience preferred. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver’s license required. 
  • At least 5 years plus experience preferred.
 

Commercial service experience and retail service experience preferred

  • Must have own tools. 
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
  • Basic tech savvy using mobile device to login and out of apps and emailing. 
  • Knowledge of electrical print reading and interpreting. 
  • Experience leading crews.
